MARCH NEWSLETTER : AWARDS AND EXHIBITIONS!

 

As most of you know, I had back surgery in February and I'm in the healing phase now! The good news is that I have been painting up a storm!

 I have had lots of time to think, reflect and embrace my creative side.

This hasn't stopped my paintings from traveling and being accepted into several art exhibitions!
 

My paintings "1933 Eagle" & "Continental Kit" was accepted

out of 107 entrants and 53 finalist into the Pastel Society Of Austin Members Exhibition.
 

 I was notified that Juror Marla Baggetta, PSA-IAPS-MC

 selected "1933 Eagle Hood Ornament"as the 2nd Place (Still Life ) award winner!
Congratulations to the other 21 award winners!

This is my third year of entering and being accepted

into this prestigious five state competition art show!

UT SOUTHWESTERN-ON MY OWN TIME

I am honored to participate as a UT Southwestern Maternal Fetal Medicine ultrasound employee in the  On My Own Time art exhibition.

On My Own Time is the only annual art competition that features the artistic talents of business professionals throughout the region. Each summer, area companies hold in-house competitions, featuring employee art that was created outside of working hours. Winners are selected by arts experts who act as jurors. Business Council for the Arts then showcases 
the winners from each company in a regional celebration held annually 
at NorthPark Mall Center.
 September 14-28th, 2014..

The On My Own Time program enables North Texas professionals to share their talents in the literary and visual arts with their co-workers, and allows participating companies to successfully recognize and encourage creativity, stimulate dialogue, and build team spirit and morale.

News for 2014 1st art quarter

 

 

 

    I have received notification that I my artwork
 entry has been accepted into 

World Watercolour Art Competition! 

This competition features artist from all horizons
in 32 different countries.

This exhibition has four selection processes. The first selection is conducted by the members of a magazine’s editing team. The following three stages will all be juried by a select panel of five highly  recognized international judges

 After being accepted into the entry phase, I have now been juried into round one and advance to round two. Round two is the beginning of the final elimination round and those accepted into round three will become finalist. Round three  finalist will be narrowed down to Only 20 artist. 

The top 20 artists will exhibit their two paintings in Europe most prestigious event

 in Narbonne, South of France.

This year I will be participating in many local and national
Art completions as well as International an World Exhibits!

The First quarter of this year  I will be traveling
 to Venice, France with ART TREKS, to paint
and photograph the festivities of CARNIVAL!



I also have been accepted as a finalist into
the Richeson75 Floral and Still Life
Online Competition.  Award results will be posted soon.


Also, Look for my artwork in the April 2014 Top 100 Pastel artist !


I will be exhibiting locally this quarter in
Allen, Frisco, Deep Ellum, Southlake, Dallas, 
 StoneBriar Country Club and
during monthly artwalks at my Studio/Gallery
#2016  in Valley View Mall.


I will continue to add new events and
 art show entry acceptances as I receive them!

This is going to be an exciting year and I am expecting GREAT things!!!
